Associate Veterinarian (Full Time/Part time will be considered)
Mililani Town Center Pet Clinic is seeking an energetic Veterinarian to fill a full-time position at our busy small animal clinic. We pride ourselves in having a friendly and family oriented practice that allows our Doctors to practice Veterinary medicine your own way. We provide guidance that allows our Doctors to develop their individual preferences and direction. If you are seeking a small clinic atmosphere, we may be the clinic you're looking for. We are planning to restart our exotic/small mammal component of our practice and any interest would be welcomed.

- Provide top-notch customer service
- Respond to telephone calls, business emails & faxes
- Strategically schedule and manage appointments and procedures
- Triage urgent or emergency phone calls
- Handle requests for prescriptions & food refills
- Prepare for appointments
- Explain estimates and discharge instructions
- Input charges for heartworm/flea and tick medications and any OTC food and products
- Collect and process payments and receipts
- General office cleaning, including but not limited to keeping reception desk area and lobby organized and sanitary

- Prepare and maintain medical records
- Check-in clients/Monitor client flow from check-in to discharge/Monitor schedule
- Client follow up calls/confirmation calls
- Managing record requests between other hospitals and specialty practices
- Fill prescriptions

- Understand vaccinations, basic lab tests, common diseases and treatments, medications and pet behavior
- Maintain proper documentation in the electronic medical record & charts
- Relay appropriate information to/from clients to doctors and/or management team members
- Computer skills: Able to use Windows based computer systems, word processing, email, web search and other skills needed to effectively use the practice management software program

- Has a minimum of 2 years of previous experience working as a veterinary receptionist or in a similar customer service role or medical office is preferred
- Has knowledge of veterinary or medical terminology
- Computer skills including Google docs, Microsoft, email, scanning and fax
- Ability to handle dogs and other animals in a calm and compassionate manner
- Basic understanding of pet care
- Veterinary experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
